Get used to it

  1. Now, go play Bowie's "I'm Always Crashing in the Same Car". Whoa.

  2. Great song. Not previously familiar with it. Thanks.

  3. Also on same album (Low): "Breaking Glass." The entire album, in fact, is great.

  4. My Bowie knowledge is limited, unfortunately, although "Aladdin Sane" is one of my favorite albums. Great memory from when I was about 16 years old was being in a bar about half a block off Washington Square around midnight drinking Bass Ale on tap and listening to the entertainment break into "Panic in Detroit" on a 12-string guitar. Ah, to be a teenager in NYC in the '70s. I think if there was any evidence of pubescence whatsoever, you could get served.

  5. Hey, you just gave me an idea for yet another request from St. Peter: When I hit the pearly gates, I want to be ushered toot suit over to CBGB circa 1977, right next to Debbie Harry and Iggy Pop.
