Confusing index entry for today

From a book dealing with America as a Christian nation:

Martin, Luther

  1. From Wikipedia:

Luther Martin was a politician and one of the United States' Founding Fathers, who refused to sign the Constitution because he felt it violated states' rights. He was a leading Anti-Federalist, along with Patrick Henry and George Mason, whose actions helped passage of the Bill of Rights.

    No?

  2. Moi:

Same one, but in a book from a Protestant denominational press, in which one is accustomed to reading about Martin Luther, and for which an index entry would read "Luther, Martin," an entry of "Martin, Luther" is a little jarring. Well, to me, anyway.
