@Curmy: Thanks for stopping by. We have a friend who was raised garden-variety East Tennessee evangelical who is enamored of Sufism. He's whirled with the dervishes and undertaken any number of other methods of getting out of his head with them. Not only does he love him his Sufism but he says that his Sufist practices also made his relationship with Christianity better. All very interesting.
Ooooo, now MY head is spinning. Good ones, both. And I think "Let's eat," along with "Let's go shopping," if applied consistently and properly, are the secrets to peace on earth.
Czar, I'se in great desire fer yore contribution to a book we's puttin' out fer Moi an' Boxer-Babe. Will ya' favor Aunty wif' visit to http://ethercapacious.blogspot.com an' add a line or two to the growin' ballad? It woan be complete wif'out the Mark of Czar.

Csar: two graceful and spirited entries! Excellent visuals. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI used to love the tales of Nasrudin. A mythical Sufi hero.
ReplyDelete@Fleur: Well, thanks.
