Faster and faster
'Til enlightenment springs forth:
Whirl, dervishes, whirl!

Wintertime Jewtop
Reminds, "They tried to kill us,
We won. Now let's eat."

  2. I used to love the tales of Nasrudin. A mythical Sufi hero.

  3. @Fleur: Well, thanks.

@Curmy: Thanks for stopping by. We have a friend who was raised garden-variety East Tennessee evangelical who is enamored of Sufism. He's whirled with the dervishes and undertaken any number of other methods of getting out of his head with them. Not only does he love him his Sufism but he says that his Sufist practices also made his relationship with Christianity better. All very interesting.

  4. Ooooo, now MY head is spinning. Good ones, both. And I think "Let's eat," along with "Let's go shopping," if applied consistently and properly, are the secrets to peace on earth.
