Laying the Groundwork for Changes to Come

A Linked-In recommendation from an author for whom I've edited four or five books:

"Bob Land is the best editor an inexperienced author can become associated with because of his expertise and honesty.  Everything I've written he has edited and he is the easiest professional to work with I've ever known.

"He is simply the best!"

Not, dear readers, that I'm trying to toot my own horn excessively -- although this is basically ad space (thanks, Google) -- but inexperienced authors should take note. More possibilities to become experienced authors, with a little assistance, coming soon to a webspace near you.

And if you're a clergyperson, start listening for some still small voices.

  3. @Moi: AP Carter said, "If no one has called you crazy, it just means your dreams aren't big enough." I've had more than one publisher let me know that I might be crazy. I'm taking it as a compliment.

@Serendipity. I'd lost track a little of HM. Never surprised, though, to see it back in your court.

  4. @Aunty: You were typing as I was typing. Glad you got it. Compared to most of the stuff you read, it's fluff -- but interesting and well-researched fluff, with maybe a little imagination thrown in.

And as I've said before, you should check out that publisher's website. I think many books would appeal to you. He used to be an acquisitions editor, I believe, for some Catholic presses. And almost without fail, the books make great gifts.

We may doze, but we never close.
